What Westwood Really Thought of the SATC Movie

Last month, reports surfaced on the Internet, this blog included, that designer Vivienne Westwood didn’t really think much of the Sex and the City movie, that she thought it was dull and that she left the premiere ten minutes into the film.

But in an interview with British Vogue, Westwood dismissed those reports, saying she actually finished the movie and liked it.

"I stayed throughout the film, and was overjoyed to see Sarah Jessica in her beautiful wedding dress; furthermore, I have been delighted to notice recently how well young girls are dressing, and that they have clearly been inspired by the film."

Expressing sadness about the reports, Westwood maintained that having worked with the SATC team on both the television series and the film, she always had a great relationship with them.
