Stanley Tucci - www.starpulse.com
While U.S. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour praised Academy-Award nominated film “The Devil Wears Prada” as a “really entertaining” film that makes fashion "entertaining and glamorous and interesting”, Vogue magazine editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley has declared much dislike for the movie because the character that was supposedly based on him was played by American actor Stanley Tucci.
Not that Tucci, one of the finest character actors of his generation, did a terrible job of playing him. In fact, Talley said it’s not the point; he just hates the idea of being played by a bald man.
"I was offended that they got a little, tiny, bald-headed man to play a character that was based on me. "Whether he did a good job or not is not the point." [Source]
This is kinda funny, since Anna Wintour was all praises for the movie despite being portrayed as a tyrant by Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep. Talley’s beef against Tucci is a little petty, but nonetheless understandable. After, he is African-American and stands at six-foot-seven.
