Versace Dedicates New Collection To Obama

Donatella Versace has dedicated her most recent fashion collection to US presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

According to the Canadian Press, the designer said the clothes in her spring-summer 2009 collection, which she debuted on Saturday at Milan Fashion Week, are suited for "a relaxed man who doesn't need to flex muscles to show he has power".

The designer also offered a fashion tip for Obama, who could be the United States’ first black president. "I would get rid of the tie and jazz up the shirt," she says. Her fashion advice is consistent with the collection she showed over the weekend, as no ties were visible, and shirts under jackets were either replaced by a silk T-shirt or super easy with rolled up sleeves.
