A woman is now at the helm of one of the top fashion companies in the world.
Wendy Kahn has just been appointed chief executive officer of Valentino US and V.F.G USA and Canada. Kahn, who has previously held the position of their senior vice president of sales, marketing and retail, replaces Graziano de Boni, who became president and chief operating officer of Prada in May.
"Wendy is a talented and knowledgeable executive and is an important part of our management team," said Stefano Sassi, chairman of the Valentino Group, in a statement. "We believe she will contribute enormously to the company's future."
Kahn, who joined Valentino in May 2006, started at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton where she became the president of Celine and Pucci in the USA. Now she is tasked with overseeing the growth of the both the Valentino brand and M Missoni collections.
