The world’s hottest robot is now the cover girl for the February 2007 issue of Playboy Magazine.

Canadian-born supermodel Tricia Helfer, who is best known for her current role as the cyborg Number Six in the top-rating science fiction television series Battlestar Galactica, is featured in a 10-page nude spread in the latest issue of the men’s magazine, now available in newsstands. Shot in Acapulco, the pictorial features Helfer in varying states of undress.

Tricia Helfer took the modeling world by storm when she won Ford's Supermodel of the World Contest in 1992. She has since been featured in a number of ad campaigns for Victoria’s Secret, Oil of Olay and Chanel's Cristalle and many others. She has also strutted the catwalk for Dolce and Gabbana, Christian Dior, Givenchy and the like. Countless magazines have also had the pleasure of having this five-foot-ten beauty grace their covers.

But 2003 proved to be the turning point in Tricia’s career. That year, she was picked to play the sexy cyborg Number Six on Battlestar Galactica, a remake of the 1970s series of the same name. The new show became a big hit, and many people credit the show’s success to the drop-dead sexiness Tricia exudes every time she comes up on screen.

Tricia Helfer may not yet be a household name, but with this Playboy spread, and Battlestar Galactica’s continuing success, that shouldn’t be too farfetched an idea.
