A magazine in Australia is currently in hot water for publishing topless pictures of an underage female model in two separate issues this year.
Lifestyle and fashion magazine Russh Australia is being investigated by the Australian Classification Board after topless photos of 16-year-old model Zippora Seven were printed in its March issue, as well as in its most recent issue.
The March issue shows Seven, one of New Zealand's most talked about up-and-coming models, riding a horse topless. The most recent ones are more controversial, as they show Seven and another 16-year-old, male model Levi Clarke, in a bathtub together, with bottles of champagne in the foreground.
The Classifications Act prohibits the depiction of nudity and sexual activity of minors under 18.
However, Natalie Shukur, editor of the magazine, says the shoot was its own take on the early stages of the relationship between Kate Moss and Johnny Depp, who once dated, that the pictures are “beautiful images of two young people in character".
