Fashion designer Tom Ford has launched a new fragrance called “Private Blend”, which is made up of 12 individual and unusual scents, which can be mixed and matched in accordance with a person’s own taste.
At the launch Thursday night at Harvey Nichols, the designer credited with turning Italian fashion house Gucci around, told vogue tv:
The concept behind this is similar to that behind my new menswear line. I want to create extremely unique and exclusive products, unlike some of my previous projects." [Source]
Each of the 12 scents, which include vanilla tobacco and Tuscan leather, comes in an old-fashioned apothecary-style bottle.
The American designer, who stepped down as creative director of Gucci in 2004 after helping turn the Italian fashion house into a multibillion dollar company, has recently launched a new menswear line. As for a highly-anticipated collection for women, Ford said that “It is on the cards. I can't promise when, but I can promise I'm thinking about it."
