Stella McCartney Launches Organic Clothing Line

Celebrity pals of Stella McCartney came out in droves as the designer held a private dinner to celebrate the launch of the first ever Stella McCartney Organic Collection.

Among the famous faces spotted partaking of the sumptuous vegetarian offerings at Harvey Nichols last night included singer Sophie Ellis Bextor, tennis ace Maria Sharapova and actress Camille Belle.

The fashion, of course, was the star of the night. The 20-piece organic collection, which was based on stella’s autumn/winter 2009 designs, is a special project for which she used alternative, fully ethical sourcing.

"If clothes have an ethical or ecological edge, that's a huge bonus", says the designer. "We address these questions in every other part of our lives except fashion. Mind-sets are changing, though", she added

The collection is now available exclusively Harvey Nichols.
