Posh To Judge Fashion Contest

Victoria Beckham can now add “fashion competition judge” to her ever-broadening resume which includes pop star, wife to superstar football player, model and fashion designer.

The former Spice Girl has been appointed as one of the judges for a fashion competition during Graduate Fashion Week in London next month. Her duties as a judge include interviewing hopeful student designers and assessing their creations to determine who wins the prestigious River Island gold award.

Sitting with Beckham on the panel of judges are Harper's Bazaar's U.S. editor Glenda Bailey, Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz and British fashion chain River Island's managing director Richard Bradbury.

The choice of Beckham as a judge may raise some eyebrows, but Graduate Fashion Week chairman Terry Mansfield said that she is already involved in fashion design, apart from the fact that she is considered as a global fashion icon. He added that her being a judge in the contest “will also help the students get more attention globally”.
