Versace has revealed that Patrick Dempsey will be the new face of its men’s spring/summer line.

Then "Grey's Anatomy's" star was the perfect choice to front Versace internationally as far as Donatella Versace is concerned, because he “represents everything that is great about this collection — he has that confidence, he is completely comfortable in his own skin, which is so attractive. He is the modern man of today and of course looks fantastic in the clothes”.

The designer is also a self-confessed fan of Dempsey, who is often tagged as “Dr. McDreamy” in reference to the character he plays on the highly-succesful ABC medical drama. She considers working with him “a great experience”.

Renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino has already taken pictures of Dempsey for the ad campaign in November, which will be launched in magazines in February 2008.
