It was the Dior collection at Paris Fashion Week that had a lot of fur creations displayed on the catwalk, but it was the Valentino and Christian Lacroix shows that were hit by nude anti-fur protesters.

Two female members of the animal rights organization PETA or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals stormed the Valentino show, and, in front of cameras, took their coats off and stood naked holding signs that say, "I would rather go naked than wear fur.", a catchphrase PETA has been using for its anti-fur campaign.

The Christian Lacroix show bore witness to a similar scene a few hours later, with one woman stripping naked before security being took her away.

Nevertheless, the shows went on smoothly, with Valentino displaying a collection that has been described as mixing 80s glamour with 40s chic. Lacroix, on the other hand, showcased a mostly black collection, and made use of a little astrakhan and Mongolian lamb fur to trim jackets and coats.
