As punishment for hitting and injuring her maid with a cell phone, a New York court has ordered supermodel Naomi Campbell to five days of community service.

But unlike the punishment that was handed down to pop singer Boy George, the notoriously short-tempered supermodel’s community service will be done indoors, away from the prying eyes of the public and the paparazzi. She is to sweep, mop and scrub the floors of a New York Sanitation Department warehouse on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

And she will do it all donning an orange safety vest, workboots and gloves to protect herself from the broken glass littering her assigned workplace’s floors.

The sentence, in our opinion, is relatively light considering that the crystal-encrusted cell phone Naomi threw towards her maid, Anna Scolavino, inflicted a gash that required four stitches. But still, we are hopeful the community service and the anger management classes she is required to attend would help her keep her temper in check in the future.
