Miss America 2006 in Surgery

Jennifer Berry, the current Miss America Pageant winner, underwent surgery for "undisclosed reasons" in a North Carolina hospital.

Berry, 22, a Tulsa native, was visiting family and friends on Saturday when she was admitted for surgery at Rex Hospital and released the next day, said Sharon Pearce, a spokeswoman for the Miss America Organization in Atlantic City, N.J.

Berry won the Miss America pageant after performing a ballet routine and pledging her year-long-reign to fight drunk driving. Berry, a University of Oklahoma student, reportedly lost a friend in an alcohol-related crash when she was 16.

It's a Boy!

Heidi Klum has given birth to her second son with musician Seal. Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel was born just after 4p.m. Wednesday in Los Angeles. He weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces.

This is the second child for Klum, 33, and Seal (full name: Sealhenry Olusegun Olumide Samuel), 43. Their son Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel was born in September 2005, four months after the camera-ready couple got married.

Klum also has a daughter, Leni, from a previous relationship.

SinceProject Runway has just completed its season, Klum will have some maternity time before the new season begins next year.
