Mischa Barton Becomes Face of Australian Fashion Week

In a last-ditch effort to put a familiar face to the Rosemont Australian Fashion Week, organizers of the fashion event have decided to appoint young Hollywood actress Mischa Barton as its headliner.

According to News.com.au, "Actress Mischa Barton has been moved into the front row at Australian Fashion Week as organisers scramble to put an acceptable face to the frock fest".

Barton, who is in currently in Australia for the MTV Music Awards, comes as a replacement for the event’s original face, 14-year-old Polish model Monika Jagaciak. The underage model was dropped due to her very young age.

The appointment of Barton, however, doesn’t come as much of a surprise since her career is being managed by IMG, the same US firm that is behind Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.
