London Fashion Week has drawn to a close with a bang, featuring the creations of the man regarded by many as the most influential American fashion designer today.
Marc Jacobs, who also was in London to open his first store in Britain, closed London Fashion Week with a show that featured wearable smocks, overcoats, breeches and berets from his younger "Marc" line.
The after-party also proved to be star-studded, with Jacobs inviting such celebrities as Selma Blair, Edward Norton, Naomi Campbell, designer Vivienne Westwood and Academy Award-winning screenwriter and director Sofia Coppola.
Mark Jacobs’ show was the most anticipated all throughout Fashion Week, and rightly so. His appearance during London Fashion Week marks the first time the New York favorite, who has introduced such trends as combat trousers, chain-handled handbags, quilted leather and many more to the market, has shown his range outside the Big Apple.
