Karolina Kurkova is “too fat” to wear a bikini. At least that’s what Brazilian media thinks of the Czech supermodel who they attacked for showing "back fat, love handles and cellulite" when she took to the Sao Paulo Fashion Week catwalk and wore one.

Kurkova, one of the highest-paid supermodels today, was blasted in an article published in a Brazilian newspaper, which described how "shocked" the audience was when she appeared on the catwalk at the Cia Maritima show looking uncharacteristically chubby with "cellulite on her butt".

Certainly, this harsh criticism of Kurkova’s figure will once again heat up the debate about the unattainable standards of beauty that the fashion industry allegedly promotes.

It can be remembered that in 2006 and 2007, two models died of anorexia and malnutrition-related causes, which triggered a public outcry and subsequent debate over size-zero models.
