Alessandra Ambrosio has given birth to a baby girl in Brazil Sunday.

In a statement, the Victoria's Secret model said, "To all of our family and friends, we are pleased to announce that our little princess Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur was born on Sunday Aug 24 at 7:32 p.m. She is 6.3 lbs. and absolutely perfect."

Naturally, Ambrosio expressed joy at the birth of her daughter, the first child for the 27-year-old model and California businessman Jamie Mazur, her boyfriend since 2005.

"She hasn't cried once except for a second when they pulled her out. We have now felt a new kind of love and joy that we never knew existed", she said.

After giving birth, Ambrosio is planning to be back at work in time for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in November.
