Good news for all brides-to-be: Giambattista Valli, who is known for the sumptuous volume and exquisite attention to detail of his creations, has decided to try his hand at designing wedding dresses.

It is said that the designer’s friends kept requesting him to do bridal dresses, hence, the decision to do them. A Valli collection of bridal couture is in the works, which could range from from hand-crinkled bustier styles to elegant fairytale creations. Each design, the designer tells WWD, is “dedicated to my friends”, a reference to the unique "personality" of each design.

"They're classic with a twist. I like to see them both as wedding and party dresses", Valli said.

The bridal range will launch in stores in November, priced at $11,000 to $16,000.
