Diesel has forged a partnership with designer John Galliano to create a line of childrenswear for the Italian label.

Galliano, who is chief designer over at French fashion house Dior, inked a five-year licensing deal with Diesel for an entire collection designed to cater to girls and boys aged four to 14.

"Galliano likes to play and create fairy-tale worlds even for adults”, Diesel big boss Renzo Rosso told fashion bible WWD. “Imagine what he can do for kids".

The children’s line, which has yet to be named, is expected to debut in January, and will be available in stores by autumn/winter 2008-9.
