Former Guess? Model Anna Nicole Smith Dies at 39

Former model, actress, and reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith died Thursday after collapsing inside her hotel room in Hollywood, Florida at the age of 39.

According to reports, Anna Nicole was rushed to the hospital after a private nurse found Smith unresponsive in her room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. She was pronounced dead an hour later.

It is not yet known what killed Anna Nicole, who was known for her voluptuous figure, Playboy shoots, her marriage to oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall, and tabloid-worthy way of life. Many are speculating she died of heart failure, but nothing is definite until results of an autopsy set for tomorrow are in.

Born Vickie Lynn Hogan on Nov. 28, 1967, Anna Nicole lived a life that provided tabloids with much material. A former exotic dancer, she had to work at places like Wal-Mart before posing for Playboy in March 1992. Her career took off since then, landing a modeling contract to star in a series of ad campaigns for Guess? Jeans. In 1994, she married oil billionaire J. Howard Marshall, who died thirteen months later, leaving Anna to deal with a bitter court battle for his millions against his son E. Pierce Marshall.

Her death comes five months after son Daniel died under mysterious circumstances in the Bahamas hospital where she had given birth to daughter Danielynn.
