Fashion Forward 2008 Winners Named

The winners of this year's Fashion Forward sponsorship have been announced, and they are: Christopher Kane, Erdem, Marios Schwab and Roksanda Illincic.

This is the first time for Kane, Erdem and Schwab to be awarded the Fashion Forward sponsorship, while it’s the second time around for Ilincic.

Fashion Forward, a British Fashion Council-led initiative, aims to financially back UK designers who have already made a mark at London Fashion Week, but whose businesses are still relatively young.

"Fashion Forward is a British Fashion Council supported scheme which contributes to building a sustainable fashion industry in London, through providing funding to talented emerging designers at a time when it is often required the most”, says Hilary Riva, chief executive of the British Fashion Council.

This season's winners already have an international reputation, giving them a firm platform to develop their businesses into influential fashion brands", she adds.
