Gucci's Crystal GG Bags

Gucci has the newest bag in town, and it looks bound to be the next “it” bag.

Gucci's new Crystal GG bags for autumn/winter 2008-9 are essentially a reinvention of the classic Sixties Gucci canvas. Frida Giannini, Gucci creative director, added a new glossy coating, and a sharp patent finish.

"This is a historical Gucci fabric that I have re-invented in a very fun way," says Giannini. "With Crystal GG, each accessory becomes a statement-maker, perfect for the powerful and glamorous Gucci woman of today."

The line includes totes, clutches, and handbags with gold studs, leather tassels and heart-shaped crests.
