Emma Watson Signs £3million Deal With Chanel

Young British actress Emma Watson has reportedly signed a £3 million deal with Chanel to be the face of its Coco Mademoiselle fragrance for the next two years, thus confirming reports from last year that the revered fashion house has been eyeing her for its campaigns.

Watson, who is famous for playing the brainy Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, effectively replaces fellow Brit Keira Knightley, whose own deal with Coco Mademoiselle ends this summer.

'Once it became clear she is growing into a beautiful young woman and wears the Chanel brand so elegantly, they had to sign her up. Chanel realises it is important to target a young audience," a source told The Mail on Sunday.

A formal announcement regarding Watson’s Chanel deal is expected next month.
