Academy Award nominee Djimon Hounsou is set to follow in the footsteps of Olympian Tom Hintanhaus and fellow actor Mark Wahlberg as Calvin Klein announced its choice of the Benin-born actor to front the campaign for its new Calvin Klein Steel underwear line.

Hounsou, who was nominated for the Oscar Best Supporting Actor for his role in the movie “Blood Diamond”, expressed much pleasure about his choice.

According to Calvin Klein president and chief operating officer Tom Murry, Djimon was chosen because his "look and style complement his accomplished acting career and make him uniquely suited to represent the Calvin Klein Underwear brand and specifically the introduction of Steel".
