Academy Award-nominated actress Chloe Sevigny returns to her designing roots, this time with a collection for new label Opening Ceremony.
What’s more, the collection by Sevigny, who used to be creative director of Imitation of Christ, is set to debut next month during New York Fashion Week. Between noon and 6 p.m on September 10, to be exact.
According to fashion bible WWD, Sevigny has been working closely with Humberto Leon, owner of the hip Manhattan boutique, and “some friends” just to get the collection, which Vogue predicts to be a range of quirky, one-off and vintage-inspired pieces, ready in time for fashion week.
Known for her controversial roles in small films, Sevigny also has a reputation for wearing quirky fashion on the red carpet and getting away with it—most of the time anyway.
