Chicago Native Is America’s Next Top Model

Twenty-year-old Jaslene Gonzalez was recently chosen as America’s Next Top Model over two other finalists to become the first Latina to ever top supermodel Tyra Banks` reality show.

Gonzalez, a native of Chicago, won a year’s representation with Elite Model Management. On top of this, she also snagged a $100,000 deal with cosmetics giant CoverGirl, as well as a Seventeen magazine cover and six-page spread, according to an E! News report.

It was a sweet victory for Gonzalez, who beat two other worthy opponents, Renee Alway and Natasha Galkina, for the ANTM tag. This is the second time she's tried her luck on the show, as she failed to make the cut last season. Obviously, she never gave up on her dream, a fact that she has every reason to be very proud of.

She says, “Every little girl has a dream to be something, That shows to all young women, if you have that drive, keep going. Second time around, and I`m America`s next top model!”.
