Chace Crawford to Become New Face of Versace?

Rumor has it that Chace Crawford, one of the stars of the hit CW series "Gossip Girl", is in talks to become the new face of Versace.

Bolstering the rumors is the fact that the actor has been photographed attending New York's Fashion Rocks event, Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, and co-star Blake Lively's 21st birthday party while clad in Versace suits.

If the rumors are true, then Crawford will be replacing "Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey, who has been the face of the brand since the launch of this year's spring/summer line.

The fashion house, however, is neither denying or confirming the rumors. A spokesperson just said, "We have been working hard to develop our relationship with Chace and that is all we can say on the subject. Patrick Dempsey is contracted with us through Spring/Summer 2009. It is undetermined who will replace him at this time".
