CFDA To Honor Carolina Herrera

The Council of Fashion Designers of America is set to honor legendary designer Carolina Herrera with a lifetime achievement award.

This was announced earlier this month at a gathering of fashion insiders at the Rockefeller Center by no less than famous designer Diane von Furstenberg, who also happens to be council president, saying Herrera “is a lady of elegance".

Apart from Herrera, other figures who will be recognized at the council’s 26th annual awards ceremony on June 2 at the New York Public Library are New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who will get the Board of Directors' special tribute; Style.com executive editor Candy Pratts Price, the Eugenia Sheppard journalism prize; and Dries Van Noten, who will receive the international designer award.
