It is but natural for Carla Bruni to make a number of changes in her life as she married French president Nicolas Sarkozy and became First Lady of France, but of all the changes she had to make, keeping her tongue in check has proven to be, by her own admission, the most difficult one of all

"When you are a songwriter and you say, 'I like polyandry', it is written down and it doesn't matter. But if you are a First Lady and you say, 'I like Coca-Cola light', it's a drama," she says. "I have to pay attention to every detail, and that is very new for me."

Another change that she is hoping to make is to eventually become a mother.

"I'd love to have children with Nicolas. I hope to, if I am young enough," she added. "It would be a dream."
