Katharine Hamnett - catwalkqueen.tv
Katharine Hamnett has chosen to take inspiration from an unlikely source when she made her newest eco-friendly collection: Baywatch.
The designer, who is known for her political t-shirts and her ethical business philosophy, has teamed up with the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) to come up with organic cotton T-shirts that looks so much like the ones worn by lifeguards, complete with a "Save The Sea" slogan emblazoned on it.
The range aims to spread awareness about how much damage illegal pirate fishing is doing across the world's oceans.
"The Environmental Justice Foundation is one of my favourite NGO's, small but incredibly high profile - gets the job done with unparalleled efficiency, makes the most incredibly effective use of very small budgets and punches weigh above its weight" she said o her latest endeavor.
The t-shirts are now available at www.ejfoundation.org/shop for £40, with proceeds going directly to charity.
