Badgley Mischka Unveils ‘Affordable’ Collection

Badgley Mischka has launched its Platinum daytime collection, which is billed as a lot more affordable alternative to the designer duo’s top-shelf collection.

Previewed on Friday in New York, the collection, the first editions at least, include a polyester blend dove gray dress with a pleated neckline, a sleeveless, belted black dress with white piping, a short-sleeve printed crinkle chiffon dress and a long aubergine patio dress. The designing duo, who were there at the preview, said they’re planning on bringing in every month throughout the year 20 to 25 styles for the range, whose prices start at $325.

Mischka told fashion bible WWD that "People have been asking for it for a while, but we wanted to break it out as a separate division. We've been getting a lot of [positive] feedback from stores, which is good. Imagine if it was the other way?"
