Giorgio Armani continues his tradition of choosing only the most attractive men to front his iconic fashion label with his choice of Taiwanese-Japanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro to be the latest face of Emporio Armani Underwear.

Kaneshiro, who has starred in more than 30 films, including The House of Flying Daggers and Red Cliff, follows in the footsteps of British soccer star David Beckham, whose Emporio Armani ads have caused quite a stir. He is also the first Asian model to appear in one of the brand's advertising campaigns.

"I am so happy that Kaneshiro joins the EA 2008 fall/winter campaign," says the designer. "He has an inborn attractiveness and looks so charming on and off the screen. His personality as well as good looks perfectly match EA’s style, and that's why he is the very best man for the EA collection."

Kaneshiro is also very happy with his latest gig, saying "Armani is always the label I love. I admire Armani's achievement in the fashion industry - as well as his support for the movie industry".

"As an actor, I feel so pleasant to work with Armani, and it's my great pleasure to join the campaign for its new collection," he added.
