Just six months after getting an honorary degree from London's University of the Arts, designer Giorgio Armani has once again taken the stage to receive a similar conferment from Milan's Politecnico di Milano University.
Amid wild cheering from the audience, who welcomed him warmly with loud calls of “bravo”, Armani walked down the Italian university’s main hall and accepted an honorary degree for industrial design.
For a change, the designer wore a graduation gown, a mortar board and the school’s signature blue striped tie in lieu of his own label for the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the designing icon also shared a tidbit of wisdom for upcoming designers:
"A collection can be destroyed by the press, but if you believe it, keep at it,"
Spoken like a true academic.
