Armani Fall/Winter Collection - bp2.blogger.com
Giorgio Armani, arguably the most famous designer in the world, has finally brought his creations home for the first time in six years, showcasing his autumn/winter collection at the ongoing Milan Fashion Week.
Armani’s models wore little black dresses trimmed with bugle beads, knitted caps dotted with dewdrop crystals and knee-length rounded skirts in pale grey silk, all of which setting a tone that is undeniably feminine. Furthering the feminine tone is the fact that Armani’s fall/winter collection doesn’t have much in the way of pants.
Then there was the show’s finale, which featured a model clad in an attention-grabbing floor-length dress studded with Swarovski crystals, all of which were horizontally stitched.
And ever the marketing genius, Armani has opened a retrospective exhibition featuring over 600 outfits that he has created over the years, the aforementioned finale dress among them.
At 72, Giorgio Armani still hasn’t lost his touch.
