The countdown begins as America's Next Top Model is down to the final three: Eugena, Melrose, and CariDee. After a nervwrecking Flamenco dance routine as well as a terrifying photo shoot in freezing cold water, the judges concluded that Amanda was a bit too awkward to continue in the competition.
In fact, photographer Nigel Barker stated, "Her body is a complete disaster."
It was a close call, however, between CariDee and Amanda, as CariDee's body was unable to withstand the freezing temperature of the freezing water and was on the verge of hypothermia. She was lectured by Tyra Banks, who said in the future she must voice her concerns if she is pushing her body too hard.
Banks went on to explain that in the modeling world, extreme temperatures are more common than the average model thinks.
"Swimsuits are shot in the winter," Banks explained. "Coats in the hot summer heat. How are we supposed to know if you'll be able to handle that pressure?"
Tyra explained that modeling was about movement, improv and going with the flow. After demonstrating an improv Flamenco dance with Judge Jay Alexander she described a particular fashion show in which she was supposed to dance, but forgot all her moves. Quickly she had to put together her own idea of a Flamenco dance, without skipping a beat, making sure the show flowed smoothly.
This Wednesday will begin the final countdown between Eugena, CariDee and Melrose. Tune in Wednesday at 9p.m. (8 p.m. central) to find out who will still be in the competition.
