Air-conditioned Clothes - www.dailymail.co.uk
A Japanese company just came up with a solution to the sweltering summer heat—air-conditioned clothes.
That’s right. Sounds very much like science fiction, but Kuchou-fuku, the company that makes these self-cooling shirts and jackets, have successfully translated this technology into reality.
The clothes apparently work by circulating air across the wearer’s skin through two small fans sewn into the back of each item. Powered by a pocket-sized rechargeable battery pack, the fans are also eco-friendly, as they use only one-fiftieth of the energy of a small AC unit.
All priced at 11,000 yen or $96, the company has since sold about 5,500 items on the internet and at limited retailers. But though it may come in 10 styles and various colors, it is unlikely that the clothes will become a fashion phenomenon, as they make the wearer look fat because of the fans blowing air inside them.
