Madonna is kicking off a new world tour this month, and it’s shaping up to be one stylish affair.

The Sticky & Sweet world tour, which kicks off on August 23, will see the pop icon wear costumes from such names as Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Moschino and Jeremy Scott. Even the band gets in on the fashion action, as they are also set to wear bespoke suits by Tom Ford.

Expected to steal the show, however, are the Givenchy costumes especially created for the Material Girl by creative director Riccardo Tisci, what with its Art Deco and gypsy references.

She tells the Daily Express, "I was told, 'You can't make it - you're this, you're that, your nose is too wide etc. I used to have psoriasis until about 12 years ago, which has always kept me humble. But every model goes through turbulence so you have to work out what you're going to do".

Diane von Furstenberg is collaborating with The Andy Warhol Foundation to design a resort 2008 and pre-spring 2009 collection.

Furstenberg, who has just been reelected as president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, says the collection, which includes caftans, bikinis and one-piece suits that bears the bright hues and big-leaf flowers that Warhol was known for, “feels right”, since she and the late pop artist were contemporaries. She also said that Warhol was a big influence during the early stages of her career.

Giorgio Armani has become the latest designer to be at the receiving end of protests by animal rights activists, who railed about his decision to design a special outfit for a famous Spanish matador.

Three large posters were plastered on the walls of the Emporio Armani megastore in Milan by the 100% Animalisti organization, denouncing Armani's decision to dress Cayetano Rivera Ordonez for the historic Goyesca de Ronda bullfight in southern Spain on September 6. Armani staff quickly removed the posters, which declared the fashion icon to be a hypocrite.

Kanye West’s inclusion into Vanity Fair magazine's list of best dressed men has left the rapper speechless.

In his latest blog entry, West admits that he is very flattered to be named alongside the likes of David Beckham, Daniel Craig and Karl Lagerfeld in the fashion publication's prestigious 2008 list.

"I've sat in front of this computer for 20 minutes trying to put into words how I feel... who all to thank... and how to celebrate... this is a true honour and I am humbled by it!", West writes in his blog.

"In the past two years, the CFDA's membership has increased and the overall visibility of the American fashion industry has risen".

To make the gift a reality, the 28-year-old Brazilian supermodel has reportedly been talking to photographer friends who can help her shoot twelve different looks, which she'll then bind and present to Brady, who reportedly has no clue about Gisele's plan.
