No Size Zero Models For Posh Denim Range
Victoria Beckham - www.askmen.comVictoria Beckham - www.askmen.com

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has a new denim range for her fashion label, and she has banned size zero models from promoting the line.

But that doesn’t mean Posh Spice has something against skinny models, being pretty skinny herself. She said she just wants to promote a healthy body image to young girls.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Victoria wants to give out a positive image that you don't have to be ultra skinny to look good. Many of the models on the catwalk make young girls feel insecure about their own bodies.

"Victoria doesn't want to be accused of giving young girls a complex about their image and putting pressure on them to be as skinny as her."

Britons Spend Over £1 Billion On Online Fashion in 2006
Fashionable BritsFashionable Brits

The Brits definitely do not hold back when shopping for clothes. Especially when they’re doing their shopping over the Internet.

Figures released by market analysts Mintel said that in 2006, Britons have spent more than £1 billion shopping for fashion online. And not just for your usual run-of-the-mill fashion. We’re talking about clothes designed by the likes of Stella McCartney, whose creations have already made it online.

According to market analysts Mintel, the online fashion market has grown by 461 per cent in five years and sales of fashion and footwear soared to £1.2 billion last year.

The figures have seen 2006 declared the "defining year" for internet sales, leaving companies yet to market their products online working furiously to establish a presence on the web.

And last night it was claimed Mintel's figures may actually underestimate the real value of internet fashion sales.

That 70’s Look From Jean Paul Gaultier

The 70s are back, at least at the Paris Menswear Week.

Last Monday, flamboyant designer Jean Paul Gaultier unveiled a new collection that brings to memory some fashions seen in famous television shows from the 1970s.

The fashion maestro had knitted cardigans a la Paul Michael Glasier mingling on the runway with leather jackets and striking velvet creations in a range of warm autumnal colours such as chocolate, cinnamon and plum. And, true to his hallmark cheeky approach, he'd thrown in some of the decade's more challenging glam-rock legacies, including sparkly Lurex leggings which limmered beneath pleated kilts. [Source]

Rimmel Keeps Kate Moss

Apparently, Kate Moss isn’t “too old” for Rimmel, as earlier reported.

The UK cosmetic company announced it would keep the 32-year old supermodel as the face for the company, effectively negating reports they’re dropping her because she is “getting on in terms of modeling”.

Senior Vice President Stephen Mormoris rubbished complaints earlier in the week that they were looking for a new face.

He told WWD:” Kate Moss delivers a distinctive type of beauty that is both inspirational and attainable to Rimmel users.

"She is a terrific model for the mainstream cosmetic line [Rimmel London] and she will continue to represent the brand.

Kate Moss deemed “too old”, may be dropped by Rimmel

Age seems to be starting to catch up with supermodel Kate Moss.

Moss, 33, the current face of Rimmel, is reportedly being let go by the make-up company because she is getting old. The UK company is said to be on the lookout for younger girls for their campaigns.

A source told the News Of The World , "Age catches up with everyone -- even Kate. But she hasn't been told anything by Rimmel. At 33, she's getting on in terms of modelling. And she recently moaned about her face, saying she needed Botox.

"Rimmel is a range for the younger market so that worried them. Now bosses are looking for younger models who can give the brand a fresh approach. Girls have been contacted in secret."
