If you’re using natural makeup, then that’s good news. If you’re working with a synthetic kind, then that’s something else, according to an article published by Centre Daily. That probably explains why demand for mineral makeup is on the rise.
"(Mineral makeup is) now the bandwagon that everyone's jumping on," said makeup artist Kathleen Abraham of Newport Beach, Calif. "This is a good way to protect the skin and enhance it. It doesn't feel like you're wearing makeup."
Abraham believes an increasing number of women with acne and other skin problems is helping drive demand for mineral makeup. [Source]

While U.S. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour praised Academy-Award nominated film “The Devil Wears Prada” as a “really entertaining” film that makes fashion "entertaining and glamorous and interesting”, Vogue magazine editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley has declared much dislike for the movie because the character that was supposedly based on him was played by American actor Stanley Tucci.
Not that Tucci, one of the finest character actors of his generation, did a terrible job of playing him. In fact, Talley said it’s not the point; he just hates the idea of being played by a bald man.

In a move that took the modeling world by surprise, the supermodel has left Premier in the dust and went on to sign with U.S. giant IMG, joining such talents as Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks, Laetitia Casta, Heidi Klum, Carolyn Murphy and many stars of the catwalk.

Australian designer Heidi Middleton, one half of the trend-setting Sydney fashion duo Sass & Bide, has recently gone under a surgeon’s knife to remove a tumor in her breast.
Fans of the designer’s creations need not worry, however. The surgery, which was performed just days after giving birth to daughter Elke Bay Plowman, was declared a success. The designer will now take a few months hiatus from the fashion to recuperate.
