"Fantastic Four” star Jessica Alba has recently been chosen by U.S. cosmetics giant Revlon as it’s newest face, following in the footsteps of such Revlon endorsers as Halle Berry, Sheryl Crow and Eva Mendes.
This is the first endorsement deal for Revlon for Alba, who will be paid a whopping $5 million to star in a global ad campaign for the new Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara. As part of the deal, Alba will appear in TV, print, in-store and online advertisements, with the first TV commercial debuting by July in the U.S., and a comprehensive print campaign being launched the following month.

British fashion designer John Galliano was found guilty by a French court of copying the work of American photographer William Klein and used it in ad campaigns.
The 79-year-old Klein, who is based in Paris, sued Galliano after seeing his trademark technique of painting over photographs used in advertisements in a number of fashion magazines. A friend alerted him to this, and left him feeling “insulted and furious”.
As such, Galliano, who admitted being “inspired” by Klein’s work but denied plagiarizing it, was ordered by the court to pay Klein a total of 200,000 euros in damages.

Actress and producer Drew Barrymore is the latest celebrity to sign on as the face for U.S. cosmetics giant CoverGirl. This marks the first time the 32-year-old actress has ventured into commercial endorsement territory.
As part of her deal, Barrymore will be featured in CoverGirl advertising campaigns for print and television, as well as act as a co-creative director of her first-ever TV commercial.

The younger Cruz is set to create for Mango a 25-piece collection of tops, trousers, jackets and accessories for autumn/winter 2007-8. The decision to let Slimane go confirmed reports that the French fashion designer has expressed sentiments that it was time for a major change and leave Dior Homme, of which he has been the chief designer since July 2000.
He told Vogue:” I had already set up the principles that could continue to be there for Dior Homme. As for my own style and aesthetic, I decided it was time to separate the two. “
