From the catwalk to the rugby field.
As a favor to his close friend Russell Crowe, Giorgio Armani, one of the greatest designers of all time, will be designing the uniforms of the rugby team now co-owned by the Academy Award-winning actor.
For those wondering why someone like Armani should be designing for an Australian rugby team called The Rabbitohs, the great Italian designer has this to say:
"Well, there are two very good reasons. The first is that my friend Russell Crowe does not call often and when he does, it is usually about something very important. 'Hi Giorgio, I need an outfit for the Academy Awards, what do you suggest?' Or, 'hey I'm getting married, what should I wear?' Or, in this case, 'I've bought a share in the Rabbitohs and they are going back to the top of the premiership, would you help to design a special outfit for them?'

Sveva Gualdi - showbiz.sky.com
Hollywood actor Josh Hartnett seems to have a thing for supermodels.
The actor, who was once inked to supermodels such as Helena Christensen and Gisele Bundchen, was reportedly spotted being all lovey-dovey all over New York City with top Italian model Sveva Gualdi.
In Touch magazine reports that the actor and the model were seen strolling the streets of New York, and they didn’t seem to care who saw them kissing and holding hands. The magazine also added that the two, who reportedly met at a New York party, have been dating for about a month now.
Australian Fashion Week is still more than a month away, but this early, its organizers are already in the process of setting up healthy weight guidelines for models so that they will be in place by the time the major fashion event starts.
According to Fashion Week head honcho Simon Lock, they just “don’t want to see young girls hurting themselves in any way”, which is why they’re setting up the guidelines in time for Fashion Week, which is scheduled from April 30 to May 4.
This latest move by the organizers comes on the heels of the Australian Medical Association’s calls for the introduction of healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) guidelines for fashion models so that eating disorders among young people might be addressed.

As punishment for hitting and injuring her maid with a cell phone, a New York court has ordered supermodel Naomi Campbell to five days of community service.
But unlike the punishment that was handed down to pop singer Boy George, the notoriously short-tempered supermodel’s community service will be done indoors, away from the prying eyes of the public and the paparazzi. She is to sweep, mop and scrub the floors of a New York Sanitation Department warehouse on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Naomi Campbell - www.nndb.com
This is something modeling rookies should take some measure of comfort in when the prospect of walking down a catwalk in front of some of the most discerning eyes in the fashion business scares them out of their wits.
You would think that after 21 years sashaying down countless runways at hundreds of fashion shows, supermodel Naomi Campbell already has tamed the butterflies in her stomach when she takes the catwalk.
Nothing could be farther from the truth. Campbell in fact confesses that she still gets stage fright every time she does a show.
Victoria’s Secret is undoubtedly one of the hottest names in lingerie and bikinis in the whole world.
Unfortunately for one female cop from Long Island, New York, a Victoria’s Secret bikini she was wearing on a vacation in Puerto Rico last year proved too hot to handle—literally.
Dawn Giugliano filed a $2 million suit in a New York court against the lingerie firm, claiming a Victoria’s Secret swimsuit she was wearing as she fell asleep sunbathing on a Puerto Rican beach heated up and burned a circle right into her chest, effectively leaving a permanent scar.
"The sun baked the metal right into her skin," said Luke Bigelow, an attorney for Giugliano, 27, a Nassau County cop.
