Fashion designer Robert Cavalli has recently enlisted the services of supermodel Kate Moss and her rocker-boyfriend Pete Doherty to appear in two campaigns for the Italian fashion designer.

Moss and Doherty, UK's premiere rock and roll couple, posed for pictures that recreated a series of iconic photographs, with Moss appearing in a gold dress as Cleopatra while the Babyshambles lead singer channeled a young Marlon Brando, and was made to appear like the film icon. For the two Cavalli campaigns, the couple is  reportedly receiving a six-figure sum.

Topless Show For Valentino

Valentino’s show Monday at the ongoing Milan menswear shows proved to be a truly unique one, as the Italian designer not only staged some sort of a reversal of roles between the audience and his models on the catwalk, but also featured topless women in his presentation.

In presenting his spring and summer 2008 collections, the designer had his models posed and chatting while the audience moved past them, the exact opposite of a usual fashion show where models sashay down the runway past members of the audience. Then there are the topless dancers, who he placed behind a mock-up cocktail bar while male models decked out in creams, beiges and petrol blues that give off a classic, colonial look posed in the foreground.

Fashionably Trashy

Now here’s something unique.

No, this isn’t about Paris Hilton. This about how cans, milk cartons, bottles and plastic bags—your basic garbage—can actually be used to create fashionable outfits and accessories.

In an attempt to raise awareness about recycling and environmentally harmful waste in Cambodia, a country which is still recovering from a destructive civil war, environmentalists have staged a catwalk show featuring dozens of unique outfits and musical instruments made from garbage collected from the country's biggest waste dump. According to environmentalist Fleur Smith, who organized the show:

"We just really hope to inspire people across Cambodia to think about what happens with plastic.  We have so much plastic in the world. Not only is it unsightly but for a country that relies on tourism like Cambodia, often people are surprised there is so much around."

Fashion house Christian Dior is turning 60 real soon, and chief designer John Galliano is planning to celebrate the milestone with a bang.

The Gibraltar-born Galliano will reportedly stage on July 2 a one-off couture show inside Versailles Orangerie, a venue which has been off-limits to fashion shoots for 25 years until it finally allowed American Vogue to use the area for a cover shoot featuring Kirsten Dunst inspired by Sophia Coppola's “Marie Antoinette” last year. WWD also reports that models for the show have already been booked, and have received instructions to be at the historic venue eight hours before the show.
