Calling skinny models “a bad example for young generations.", the designer had specifically asked that abnormally thin models not be used in her shows. She, however, admits that finding models who qualify under the rules implemented in the fashion code, as well as her own preferences, can be quite difficult. In fact, the designer said she still had to tighten the clothes for the models that she didn’t fire.

Legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent is now recuperating at a Paris hospital after he was admitted due to respiratory problems.
According to the 70-year-old designer’s partner, Pierre Bergé, Laurent is “not doing well”, although doctors have yet to diagnose the illness the couturier is suffering from. Aside from respiratory difficulties, Laurent is also having difficulty walking. He is, however, expected to check out of the American Hospital in the next couple and days, and might go to Tangier, Morocco to continue his recuperation if Bergé’s plans push through.
