A Swedish teenager has found himself at the receiving end of a lawsuit filed by Gucci and Chanel over fake sunglasses.
The fashion houses sued the 15-year-old boy after customs confiscated in June packages of sunglasses bearing Chanel and Gucci logos sent to him from China. The teenager, however, maintains that he has no idea who sent him 113 pairs of sunglasses, or why would anyone do that.
In separate lawsuits filed in Sweden, Chanel and Gucci wants the teenager to pay for the destruction of the fake products, as well as shoulder their legal costs in the case.
According to Chanel legal representative Bengt Eliasson, "Generally you don't want to sue someone who's just 15 years old ... but we don't want these products to reach the market.”
Nominations for the second annual Scottish Fashion Awards are out.
Leading the nominees for the top award—Designer of the Year—is Christopher Kane, who was named last year’s Young Scottish Designer/New Talent of the Year. Going up against him are Deryck Walker, Jonathan Saunders, Jane Mac Millan and fellow Glasgow designers Vidler & Nixon.
Also vying for various awards are designer Louise Gray, who’s nominated for the New Talent of the Year award, and top brands Mackintosh for Accessory Designer of the Year and Pringle for Textile/Cashmere Designer of the Year. Gray, incidentally, is one of the recipients of monetary and catwalk support for next month’s London Fashion Week, along with House of Holland’s Henry Holland and the masked designer Noki.
Famed celebrity stylist Edward O'Sullivan is a freelancer for Missoni no more.
O'Sullivan, who has been doing freelance work for Missoni for the past few months, has been named by the Italian brand to the newly created position of head of worldwide celebrity dressing and entertainment. The celebrity stylist once worked as global senior director of celebrity dressing and entertainment Polo Ralph Lauren for five years.
With the appointment of O'Sullivan, who counts Penelope Cruz, Diane Kruger, Sienna Miller, and Angelina Jolie among the celebrities he has previously styled, we can expect a stronger Missoni presence on the red carpet of Hollywood events.
Topshop has lost another senior executive in the person of managing director Karyn Fenn, who has handed in her resignation and will be departing the fast-fashion chain in January.
The reasons for her resignation have not been disclosed, but it is rumored that Fenn, who has spent 19 years working at Topshop, had difficulty working for Sir Phillip Green, the retail mogul who owns the Arcadia Group, the parent company of TopShop.
Topshop has seen a spate of high-level resignations lately. Former brand director Jane Shepherdson quit the company last October, its finance director has just resigned, while its marketing director will leave by month’s end.
It is understood that there will be no replacement for Fenn. Instead, Green and Fenn’s co-managing director Mary Homer will take over the duties that the departing executive will be leaving behind.

Declaring that "a cycle has come to an end," Prada chief executive Patrizio Bertelli denied that the decision to end its affiliation with the race was based on financial concerns, and expressed hopes that “another Italian team will be able to compete in the next edition and to keep Italy at the top of the game."
Hello Kitty - i-love-cartoons.com
Let’s chalk this one up to weird news.
Cops in Bangkok, Thailand, are faced with the prospect of being made to wear in public a large bright pink Hello Kitty arm band every time they break the rules.
Erring cops will be made to wear the embarrassing fashion accessory, which has two hearts embroidered on it, for several days if they commit such minor offenses as being late or parking in the wrong place.
Giorgio Armani
Giorgio Armani will be dressing up the entire Chelsea football team with new official suits.
At the start of the new season, the team, management and backroom staff will be seen wearing the new look, which is made up of a lightweight wool gabardine suit, a classic three-button cashmere coat and a single-breasted knee-length nylon raincoat. Naturally, the color will be in Chelsea blue, albeit in a toned-down navy interpretation.
Replicas of the team’s new suits will also be available at Emporio Armani stores worldwide.

Kate Moss is all set to launch her own her first fragrance line this fall.
Called Kate by Kate Moss, the scent is a product of the supermodel’s collaboration with perfume experts Coty Inc, which will bottle the said perfume.
Moss told fashion bible WWD that "It's something I've thought of doing for a long time, but it just never felt right. It felt natural to take the step."
