Janet Jackson has launched her lingerie line, which was created in collaboration with Australian designer Bruno Schiavi.

Called Pleasure Principle, the collection, named after Jackson's 1987 hit, includes a variety of bra styles (demi cups to full coverage), with sizes from 32A to 44G, all priced under $40. The first collection, which bears rich color combinations, also features Chantilly lace, satin and feminine details such as bows.

Famed Celebrity Makeup Artist Found Dead

Makeup artist to the stars Paul Starr was found dead in his L.A. apartment yesterday.

Police have yet to determine what killed Starr, whose clients include such names as Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Garner, and Jessica Alba. WWD reports that friends have claimed they haven't seen or heard from the makeup artist in several days.

Apart from working with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, Starr has also worked extensively in the fashion industry. His fashion collaborations include Jean Paul Gaultier and Dolce & Gabbana.

UK Women Choose Fashion Over Food, Says New Survey

A new survey has revealed that British women would rather spend their money on shopping rather than food.

According to The Daily Mail, the poll conducted by MyCelebrityFashion claims that nearly 32 percent of UK females would starve for their fashion, with half of the female population spending more on clothes and accessories each month than they are on food. A new phrase, 'fashiorexia', has been coined to describe the phenomenon.

Gemma Ward To Quit Catwalk?

Australian model Gemma Ward is reportedly hanging up her modeling shoes to seriously pursue a career in films.

Pedestrian magazine claims an inside source told them that Ward is close to officially retiring from modeling, that she is retiring to pursue her Hollywood acting career. No official statement on her supposed retirement has been made yet though.

The 20-year-old Ward, who has been in shows for designers such as Versace, Gucci, Chanel, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, and many more, has already starred in films such as The Strangers and Black Balloon.

Chanel TV Biopic Savaged By Critics

PETA Slams Gwyneth Paltrow For Tod's Campaign

Gwyneth Paltrow has earned the ire of animal rights activists after appearing in Tod's autumn/winter 2008-9 campaign in which she models fur-lined boots and bags made from ostrich and snakeskin.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), for one, even went as far as criticized the parenting skills of the actress, who was also shown in the ads draped in fox fur.

"Gwyneth Paltrow won't be the apple of her daughter's eye if she continues to flaunt fur. It's a terrible example to set for a young child, promoting an industry that electrocutes animals, snaps their necks and skins them alive".

Rankin Designs Coke Bottle

Legendary photographer Rankin has collaborated with Coca-Cola to release a limited edition glass bottle celebrating the handover of the Olympic Flag from Beijing to London.

To be sold exclusively at Selfridges for £1.99, the bottle captures the spirit of London and the Olympics.

"As a Londoner, I love what the city represents - the vibrancy, the strength and the energy - so to reflect that with an image, which also represents the Olympics, was a fantastically exciting challenge for me as a photographer," says Rankin. "It was made even more compelling for me to do it in collaboration with Coca-Cola, and using the iconic contours and shape of the glass bottle."

Target has confirmed that Thakoon Panichgul will be the latest fashion design heavyweight to sign up for its Go International initiative.

The range to be designed by the Thai-born American designer is expected to land in-store and online next month.

The high street retailer has been scoring coup after coup in its Go International initiative, having already brought such names as Alice Temperley, Zac Posen, Jovovich-Hawk and Isaac Mizrahi into the fold. And just recently, there have been widespread reports that top British designer Alexander McQueen is in talks to design a capsule collection for Target.

Gap has a new face for its latest campaign in the person of Hollywood actress Liv Tyler.

Tyler, who starred in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, among many others, will be appearing in ads for the fashion retailer's autumn/winter 2008 collection along with Hugh Dancy and Marchessa designer Georgina Chapman.

The actress is not new to the world of fashion campaigns, as she had been the face of Givenchy perfume for five years running.

The collection, Gap's first since Patrick Robinson took over as head of design, features a cord blazer, trench coat, comfy boyfriend cardigan and other classic Gap staples.
