L'Osservatore Romano has dismissed the rumors, saying that "Obviously the attribution was false. Italian fashion house Gianfranco Ferre is venturing into real estate with the signing of a multi-billion dollar joint venture agreement with Galadari Investment Office (GIO) to create "couture architecture".
To rise in Dubai, the first project of the venture is called Gianfranco Ferré Stresa, a building planned to be a residential and commercial complex due to be completed by the last quarter of 2011. Envisioned to have at least 60 floors, the building’s estimated construction cost is a whopping $1.2 billion

The “Sex and the City” star will be doing the honors on June 30, with Harrods
Chairman Mohamed Al Fayed himself welcoming the actress to the Knightsbridge store at 9 am. Fayed will also take Cattrall for a tour of the store’s best bargains after the traditional countdown to the opening of the doors.

Karolina Kurkova is “too fat” to wear a bikini. At least that’s what Brazilian media thinks of the Czech supermodel who they attacked for showing "back fat, love handles and cellulite" when she took to the Sao Paulo Fashion Week catwalk and wore one.
Kurkova, one of the highest-paid supermodels today, was blasted in an article published in a Brazilian newspaper, which described how "shocked" the audience was when she appeared on the catwalk at the Cia Maritima show looking uncharacteristically chubby with "cellulite on her butt".

"'I thought 'Sex and the City' was supposed to be about cutting-edge fashion and there was nothing remotely memorable or interesting about what I saw. I went to the premiere and left after ten minutes", she said.

Tommy Hilfiger has released its figures for the financial year to March 31, 2008 and things are looking mighty good for the fashion retailer and lifestyle brand.
Hilfiger boasted record profits, as its group sales increased 14.4 per cent to 1.34 billion Euros. Its European division played a very big role in the surge, reporting sales that skyrocketed 22.8 percent to 707 million euros.
