Legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld has formed a partnership with Accessory Network Group to come up with a collection of handbags, small leather goods and luggage.
A spokesperson for ANG told fashion bible WWD that the upcoming creations by Lagerfeld, who is regarded as one of the most influential fashion designers of the late 20th century, will place an emphasis on luxury materials, hardware and "a high-tech" element.

The TV show "Dancing With The Stars" is known for featuring mostly has-beens or D-List celebrities in its lineup, but it is rumored that it has snagged an A-list figure in the person of Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bundchen for its new season.
The revelation of the latest season’s official cast members isn’t until August 29, but a list has been leaked to the media, and it reportedly includes Bundchen, who is at present the world’s highest-paid supermodel.

Badgley Mischka has launched its Platinum daytime collection, which is billed as a lot more affordable alternative to the designer duo’s top-shelf collection.
Previewed on Friday in New York, the collection, the first editions at least, include a polyester blend dove gray dress with a pleated neckline, a sleeveless, belted black dress with white piping, a short-sleeve printed crinkle chiffon dress and a long aubergine patio dress. The designing duo, who were there at the preview, said they’re planning on bringing in every month throughout the year 20 to 25 styles for the range, whose prices start at $325.

Target has engaged the services of Loeffler Randall designer Jessie Randall to create an accessories range for the retail giant.
The collection to be designed by Randall, winner of the Council of Fashion Designers of America’ Swarovski Award for Accessory Design last June, is expected to debut early next year. A preview, however, will be made available to long-lead press Wednesday at the Target Studio on Seventh Avenue.
Randall, who is the proud mother of twin boys Casper and Liam, is the latest designer to design products for the retail giant. Among Target’s collaborators in the past who have designed an affordable range of products for the retail giant are Rafé New York, Devi Kroell, and most recently, Hollywould and Dominique Cohen.

Samsonite has tapped actress Christina Ricci as the new face of Fashionaire, the newly-relaunched cult Sixties accessory line by the luggage maker’s premium Black Label.
Ricci was chosen for the gig mainly because of the strong, kooky style she is known for, qualities which make her a natural choice to represent the brand. At the launch of the collection at New York's Gramercy Park Hotel, the Black Snake Moan star said, "I view fashion as art. Wearing Madame Gres is like wearing a museum piece."
