Alessandra Ambrosio - www.trojanwire.com
Alessandra Ambrosio has given birth to a baby girl in Brazil Sunday.
In a statement, the Victoria's Secret model said, "To all of our family and friends, we are pleased to announce that our little princess Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur was born on Sunday Aug 24 at 7:32 p.m. She is 6.3 lbs. and absolutely perfect."
Naturally, Ambrosio expressed joy at the birth of her daughter, the first child for the 27-year-old model and California businessman Jamie Mazur, her boyfriend since 2005.
Kate Moss has been appearing in quite a number of magazine covers lately, but this latest stint of hers for the fall/winter 2008-9 issue of Purple Fashion magazine is certain to get a lot more attention than the others.
This is mainly because the English supermodel is joined on the cover by famed photographer Mario Sorrenti, who is shown down on his knees, stark naked, and clinging to Moss' hips like he's begging her to take him back. And for those who didn't know, Moss and Sorrenti were actually an item in the past.
"I suppose when you're young a lot happens. I only went out with Mario [Sorrenti] for a year and a half, and so much happened, it felt like forever", says Moss in a recent interview.

The hit 1990s TV show Beverly Hills 90210 is making a comeback via CW's 90210, which makes its broadcast debut in the U.S. on September 2. And with the return of the show, CBS Consumer Products has just announced a merchandise rollout that would feature, as always, cool, 90210 style.
Initially, the collection will include tees, tops, and fleece pieces featuring signature logos from the old show and the new show. The line also includes a selection of pajamas and underwear. In addition, CBS is also planning to add backpacks, handbags, and cosmetics to the merchandise line. Prices for any of the merchandise are yet to be set though.
The 90210 merchandise will make its debut in specialty and department stores early next year.
Leave it to MTV to deal with the size zero issue bugging the modeling world in its own inimitable way.
The cable network is launching a new reality show called "Model Maker", which will feature aspiring models competing with each other to lose weight and be rewarded for it.
The contestant who successfully loses weight will win with $100,000, a modeling portfolio and a personal trainer for a year.
And amid the mounting criticism against the show's premise, MTV producers say the show will have the contestants achieve the weight loss 'in a healthy and realistic time span'.

Karl Lagerfeld Teddy Bear - www.wmagazine.com
Karl Lagerfeld has already made an appearance in a video game, and has a lead figurine and plastic toy. But as a teddy bear? Hard to imagine, but not for Steiff, the famous German maker of stuffed animals.
Steiff is producing a limited-edition Karl bear, which naturally bears the signature Lagerfeld look, except that it's, well, a bear. Only 2,500 of these bears were made, and will be launched at Neiman Marcus next month.
Agyness Deyn - www.blabberstar.com
Agyness Deyn is the latest supermodel to jump agencies this year.
An inside source tells Fashionista that the British supermodel is jumping off to Women by December. Through this show season, however, she will still be represented by DNA, though she is actually set to feature in Women's Show Package.
Deyn follows in the footsteps of other supermodels who have transferred to other agencies this year, a list which includes Agnete, Daisy Lowe and Naomi Campbell.
Oranger Alhambra
Who knew that the name of one of Spain's most famous monuments is trademarked? Apparently, Giorgio Armani didn't, and now he is facing legal action for naming one of his fragrances after the Alhambra monument in Granada.
The fragrance in question, Oranger Alhambra, is part of the Armani Prive collection, and is described as an olfactory hymn to the gardens of the Andalusian fort. But Armani reportedly launched it without proper authorization to use the trademarked name, and the trustees of the Alhambra Palace are now asking for an explanation and are considering legal action.

Gemma Ward - fashionista.com
Reports that Gemma Ward is retiring from the runway are not accurate, says the blonde-haired Australian model herself.
Ward, who was reported to be quitting modeling to seriously embark on a blossoming film career, told NYMag, "I was surprised to wake up this morning and read news of my own retirement. While I am taking some time off currently to rest and enjoy the company of friends and family, I am still very much a (excited and enthusiastic) working model and actress. I'm only 20, for God's sakes".
Calvin Klein Inc has announced that it has a new license holder for its better sportswear line in US manufacturing and distribution company G-III.
The licensing agreement signed between the two companies effectively replaces Kellwood Co, which had been manufacturing and distributing its better sportswear line, that was reportedly doing badly under its wing.
"G-III's approach to each of the licensed Calvin Klein business categories that they currently operate has proven to be successful, and we anticipate that they will have similar results with the women's sportswear business," Tom Murry, CKI's president and chief operating officer, told WWD.
