Designers Roksanda Ilincic, Richard Nicoll and Jens Laugesen are the Fashion Forward winners for this year.
The British Fashion Council's initiative, which is backed by Westfield London, aims to help designers with established profiles establish their businesses through cash injections and create an on-schedule show at London Fashion week next season.
Ilincic, Nicoll and Laugesen will all receive a substantial amount, just like now-established designers like Giles Deacon, Sinha-Stanic and Jonathan Saunders have done in the past.
This is the second time Nicoll and Laugesen have won the sponsorship for this year, while Ilincic, who launched her own label in 2002, is a first time winner. And she is "truly excited" about winning the award, which had come at a time when "financial backing is vital".
