Actress Kate Bosworth has been chosen to front for Calvin Klein Jeans.
The “Superman Returns” star will be featured in Calvin Klein’s spring jeans ad campaign, along with Garrett Neff, the face of the CK Man fragrance, in a series of graphic ads that will be shot in LA by David Sims, the same person responsible for the fall CK Jeans ads featuring British musician Jamie Burke and model Lara Stone.

Designer Stella McCartney is a mother three times over, giving birth to a healthy baby boy early this week.
The new arrival, christened Beckett Robert Lee Willis, was born on Tuesday morning in London. Both mother and son are doing well, according to a rep for the English designer.
Beckett Robert Lee Willis is the third child in three years for McCartney and her husband, publisher Alasdhair Willis. He joins brother Miller Alasdhair James, who was born in 2005, and sister Bailey Linda Olwyn Willis, who turned one in December.

In naming the Spice Girl to the number one spot in his 48th annual fashion rundown, Mr. Blackwell said: "In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty 'Posh' can really wreck-em".

Celebrities launching their own fashion ranges were all the rage in 2007, and 2008 is shaping up to be no different, with actress Natalie Portman throwing her hat into the shoe arena as well.
Portman, star of the “Star Wars” prequels, will launch her very own range of shoes, but with a twist: her shoes will be billed as “vegan friendly”, meaning, the shoes in her collection will all be leather-free. The shoes will be previewed on January 15, in collaboration with New York shoe boutique Te Casan. Five percent of the profits will go to charity.

Supermodel Elle Macpherson has been tapped to front top-selling sunscreen Invisible Zinc in the United States.
Macpherson, who is known as “The Body” for the most obvious of reasons, signed a long-term deal with the Perth-based company, as well as shot a TV commercial and print campaign last week. She was chosen over fellow Aussie supermodel Megan Gale, who had long been the brand’s ambassador in Australia since it was launched in 2004, because the former is better known in the United States.

Banana Republic has a new creative director in the person of former Brookes Brothers head Simon Kneen.
Kneen, whose resume includes stints as ready-to-wear designer at French fashion house Balmain and as creative director at Italian fashion house Maska, will be setting Banana Republic’s creative agenda as vice president of design and creative director starting January 9.
Kneen’s entry into the Banana Republic fold comes at a time when the label embarks on ambitious expansion plans, as well as promotes Monogram, its recently-launched high-end range.

The green dress worn by Keira Knightley in the film “Atonement” is fairly recent, but it has already been voted the best film costume of all time in a poll conducted by Sky Movies and In Style magazine.
The silk gown beat out other iconic movie costumes for the top spot, including the white dress that Marilyn Monroe wears in “The Seven Year Itch” and the little black dress of Audrey Hepburn’s in “Breakfast At Tiffany's”.

Legendary designer Valentino, who has announced his retirement from the fashion world last year, will be made an honorary citizen of Paris.
Valentino will be awarded the Grand Medaille de Vermeil de la Ville de Paris, an honor that effectively makes him an honorary Parisian. A fitting tribute, many would agree, as the Italian designer, after all, had been holding his shows in the French capital since 1989. The same honor has been accorded the late designer Gianni Versace, who received the award in 1986 from then-mayor Jacques Chirac.
