Vogue India October 2008
Vogue India has found itself at the receiving end of numerous criticisms after deciding to feature some of the world's poorest people to model luxury fashion in its October issue.
The magazine featured 16 pages of photographs of India's poorest peasants wearing ridiculously expensive fashion. Particularly catching critics' attention is an image of a young poverty stricken child wearing a £50 Fendi bib, an accessory that is worth more than two month's income for an impoverished rural Indian family.

In a deal that could only make the world's highest-earning model earn lots more, Max Factor has chosen Gisele Bündchen to be its newest face.

Aside from promoting Max Factor's Lipfinity 3D Longwear Lip Color and ColorGenius Face Collection, she is also expected to help in celebrating the brand's 100 year anniversary next year.
Tara Subkoff - fabsugar.com
Form has announced that former Imitation of Christ designer Tara Subkoff has been appointed as artistic director of its spring/summer 2009 show.
This isn't the first time that Subkoff and FORM founder Jerry Tam would be working together, as Tam, who is remembered by many as Project Runway season five's first castoff, used to serve as an intern for Subkoff at Imitation of Christ.
And Subkoff, who called her appointment "karmic and cosmic", is only too happy to help. "It's so great to be able to support one of my first interns at such a crucial time," she said.

Proper Attire Condoms - nymag.com
Other designers branch out to creating hotels and buildings and villas. But Yigal Azrouël, however, chose to do something on a smaller scale but of no lesser importance nonetheless: he has designed stylish condoms--yes, rubbers--for Proper Attire.
To be sold in stores starting Friday, the Proper Attire rubbers were created with Azrouël because they wanted to make stylish protection for women to carry.
Kate Moss - www.hilary.com
Kate Moss is arguably the most famous skinny girl in the world, and she is blaming her waifish figure on the fashion industry.
In a chat with Interview magazine, Moss claimed that to a busy model just like her, there is a lack of healthy food available.
“I didn’t eat for a long time. Not on purpose. You’d be on shoots with bad food or get on a plane and food would be disgusting you couldn’t eat it. You go to a show and there’s no food at all…", Moss confesses.
And she never really wanted to be that thin.

Ten years after designer Gianni Versace was shot dead by Andrew Cunanan at his home there, the public can now freely tour the infamous mansion for a fee.
Casa Casuarina, which the slain designer bought in 1992 for $2.9 million and redecorated for millions more, has been opened to the public by current owner Peter Loftin.
Initially, Loftin made the house, which was built in 1930, a private club. Then he had rooms rented for overnight stays and events. Now it's a tourist attraction which the curious can look through for only $50.
Kate Moss - bittenandbound.com
Kate Moss is the sexiest Agent Provocateur model ever, according to a survey conducted by the luxury underwear brand.
The poll listed the top 10 most attractive women who have modeled for the chain and appeared in a number of raunchy ads and short films, and coming right on top is the British supermodel.
"In the four films starring Kate, we are given dream sequences that invite us to imagine how we might fulfil her desires. The dreams are beautifully crafted fantasies, each with an eerie atmosphere that brings us into a serene la-la land where we feel free to imagine pleasing Kate", the survey concludes.
